Thermocouples, RTD's and Thermowells   Products include the most delicate 0.25mm diameter Mineral Insulated Thermocouples, having an insulated hot junction, to complex Tubeskin Sensors constructed from rugged 12.7mm thickwall cable for measurement of heater tube temperatures. Indeed, we have successfully developed a technique of conductor welding very small diameter thermocouples having lengths in excess of 20 metres, with the ability to pass a demanding insulation resistance test of 1000M Ohms at 100 V d.c. Platinum Resistance Thermometers are produced from mineral insulated cable and our abilities extend far beyond routine styles. We have perfected techniques of processing accurate, fast response 2mm diameter 4-wire sensors to intricate 6mm duplex 2X4-wire detectors. As standard, these are all manufactured to BS EN 60751: 1996 class 'A', with higher tolerance bands available if requested and may be supplied to any desired length or configuration to suit customer requirements. We are able to fully support all of these products through in-house calibration facilities where necessary, with traceability to National Standards. In addition, we also produce a range of solid drilled and fabricated Thermowells in stainless steel and many other corrosion resistant alloys. Light duty fabricated thermowells are generally constructed from 11mm diameter 316 stainless seamless tube, whilst a more robust range produced from seamless pipe, typically having diameters from 1/4" to 1" nominal bore in a range of schedules and materials, is also avialable. Cable, Wire and Connectors OMEGA has its own facilities dedicated to wire drawing of mineral insulated thermocouples and transducer cable, leadwire, connectors and injection requirements, with a reduced dependency on outsourced items. This approach promotes closer control over quality, material traceability, predictability of lead-times and manufacturing costs and this is reflected in our prices. We can also supply any amount of Cable, Wire and Connectors in both IEC and other standard colours.
