Omega Engineering Ltd is part of an International group specialising in process measurement and control equipment. Due to continued expansion within the European office in Irlam we are currently looking to recruit a Media Technician
Responsibilities will include building pages for our printed publications and website from existing templates, and image editing. Also the creation of HTML newsletters for email mail shots.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency with HTML code, Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop, working on PC platforms. Knowledge of printing processes with the ability to prepare files for release to printers would also be an advantage.
Candidates should be dead-line oriented, responsible, well-organised team players, who can take initiative. Must be very detail-oriented and have the ability to understand/take design direction.

Sales Engineer - Temperature

Omega Engineering currently have a vacancy within the Sales Department for a Sales Engineer to support our sales of temperature products. The position will involve the ability to liaise directly with customers in order to provide cost quotations, technical advice and data entry.
In order to succeed in this role the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate following qualities:
- A working knowledge of Thermocouples, Resistance Thermometers, Thermistors, MI Cable and related accessories.
- Knowledge of temperature product construction, along with the ability to estimate manufacturing times.
- An awareness of other ancillary products associated with temperature measurement.
- Computer skills to allow estimating, data access and correspondence to be undertaken.
- The ability to effectively communicate by telephone with UK and overseas customers.
- The role involves both external customer visits as well as internal sales. This will require the successful applicant to live within commuting distance of our UK facility in Irlam near Manchester.
Training will be provided where required on the use of our Internal systems as well as other areas that are needed to successfully perform the role.
