Omega’s PX972 smart pressure transducers combine the best features of analog and digital transducers into a high accuracy, competitively priced, unit designed to meet the most demanding applications. All models have both a 0-5 volt dc analog output and bidirectional serial communications output which can be used simultaneously. Serial outputs are available in either RS-232 or RS-485 format.
The bidirectional communications allows the user to read data from the PX972 as well as change the configuration. Some of the items the user can configure include analog output, zero and span, pressure units, sampling and update rates.
The PX972 combines a proven silicon piezoresistive sensor with a microprocessor for compensation. All surfaces exposed to the pressure media are 316 stainless steel making it suitable for many applications involving corrosive liquids or gases. The result is a transducer with exceptional accuracy (0.1% full scale typical) over it’s full temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185 °F). All PX972’s are CE approved.
