Since its inception in 1962, OMEGA has grown from manufacturing a single product line of thermocouples to an established global leader in the technical marketplace, offering more than 100,000 state-of-the-art products for measurement and control of temperature, humidity, pressure, strain, force, flow, level, pH and conductivity. OMEGA also provides customers with a complete line of data acquisition, electric heating and custom engineered products.


For the past three decades our handbooks have served as valuable reference tools for engineers around the world. And though we are an established direct-marketing pioneer, our people, facilities and superior client services go well beyond the OMEGA handbooks.

Continued Growth

OMEGA® continues to grow and currently has facilities worldwide. Corporate headquarters are at Stamford, Connecticut with the main manufacturing site located at Bridgeport, New Jersey. OMEGA® also has a site in Canada in addition to its UK subsidiary, OMEGA Engineering Ltd. The Group also includes Newport Electronics (sites in USA, Germany, and the Czech Republic), OMEGADYNE (located near Columbus, Ohio). Over the past 40 years OMEGA® has evolved from its humble origins to become the international leader in the field of Process Measurement and Control, offering over 100,000 items.

OMEGA's success lies in its commitment to quality, exceptional customer service and highly experienced technical support. OMEGA® chose the UK as the location for their European manufacturing Head Quarters. This followed a lengthy selection process involving a number of European sites. Many factors influenced OMEGA's decision to locate at Manchester, including easy and direct access to the national motorway network, the proximity of Manchester International Airport and the availability of an unrivalled workforce. Manchester is a great location from which to serve the whole of Europe.

OMEGA Engineering Ltd is an expanding business with purpose-built facilities based at the River Bend Technology Centre. In fact, the facilities extend to over 10,000 m2 for manufacturing, sales and distribution on a site of 12 hectares. OMEGA® is clearly committed to providing an excellent service to customers in Europe and other wordwide locations.

Extensive Warranty Coverage:

Many OMEGA products feature warranties beyond industry standards. It´s our way of saying, "Thank you for choosing OMEGA". OMEGA stands behind its products 100% because OMEGA products stand up to your expectations. Our precision engineering and manufacturing ensure that your process will run smoothly with our equipment. The standard and extended (OMEGACARE®) warranty service programs we offer guarantee our claims of quality. And, in the event you require any repairs, with OMEGA´s Loaner Program we may be able to send you a replacement product at no cost, while yours is being serviced.

Precision Manufacturing:

Our commitment to maintaining the leading edge through research development and state-of-the art manufacturing keeps OMEGA firmly at the forefront of technology. OMEGA´s Development and Engineering Center (ODEC), located on the Connecticut campus, is home to OMEGA´s design and engineering laboratories. All product designs are tested and perfected here prior to marketing. This state-of-the-art facility houses OMEGA´s metrology lab and other quality control facilities. The testing that takes place here assures that you receive the best products for your applications. Once an OMEGA product design is perfected and tested, stock production takes place at our Bridgeport, New Jersey, manufacturing plant. Located just 22 miles from Philadelphia, this site houses OMEGA´s advanced OMEGACLAD® thermocouple wire production equipment along with a host of other computerized CNC milling machines, injection molding equipment, screw machines, braiders, extruders, punch presses and much, much more.

It is the policy of OMEGA to comply with all worldwide safety and EMC/EMI regulations that apply. OMEGA is consistantly pursuing certification of its products to the European New Approach Directives. EC Directive Compliance

OMEGA ENGINEERING is focused on ensuring compliance with the various European Directives (including 2002/95/EC and 2002/96/EC) on RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances), which cover polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and lead. In our effort to comply, OMEGA is reviewing its vast product lines of temperature, pressure, flow, pH, heaters and data acquisition products. Should you require further assurance for specific products, please send us a written request referencing the date of purchase and specific product number and we will respond accordingly.
